Although the picture is humorous, the message my canine friend is trying to convey is a very serious and sad one indeed…Do you really know what’s in the commercial dog food that you’re feeding your beloved companion? The pet food industry does, and they certainly don’t want you to find out…Because if you knew, you’d really want to make easy home made dog food yourself. The result would be a much happier and healthier dog, plus you’d save a ton of money as well!

It’s not my intention or desire to make you ill, so I’m not going to shock you with gross and sickening photos of the realities of what the pet food industry puts into your dog’s food. But being an educated consumer puts you in a much more powerful place to take matters into your own hands, and feed your dog a balanced diet of natural and healthy dog food that you make at home.

“Hey, this isn’t healthy homemade dog food. I’m outta’ here”

It’s common knowledge in the commercial pet food industry that it’s acceptable to include the four “D” type (disabled, diseased, dying and dead) animals into the mix of meat meal that you give to your pet -That could be farm or zoo animals, road kill, and even euthanized domestic pets! And that’s just for starters – Now add some meat byproducts. (Do you know what “meat byproducts” are? It’s all the other parts of an animal that aren’t meat and that your pet isn’t meant to eat). Add a dash of Phenobarbital (the drug used to euthanize sick, dying, or unwanted animals, and whose effects in food can keep building over the lifetime of your pet). Throw in a pinch of putrid restaurant garbage, miscellaneous ground up items (collars, flea collars, plastic bags), useless fillers, plus grains, sugar, and preservatives, Oh My!

“Ahhhhhhhhh. STOP, please, no more. I get it”, I can hear you screaming, “But what can we do?”

I don’t want this to win the “downer lens of the year” award (is there such a thing?), so I’ll now turn proactive and tell you just what you can do to save your dog’s life, because here’s the bottom line – You can read all the “scary” reports and view all the gross videos, but if there’s even a kibble of truth in any of it, why gamble with the life of your dog? The alternative is to serve your dog easy home made dog food.

It’s not enough just to feed your dog healthy homemade dog food. You need to take a holistic approach. What you need is a manual, a guide if you will, that holds your hand and answers all the questions you may have, or gives you the information that you need to make informed decisions about the complete health of your dog. You don’t need elaborate gourmet dog food recipes that take more time and cost more than what you serve yourself. You need fast, easy, yet healthy dog food recipes that you can make at home. Can you answer the following questions?

I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. What you need is a complete guide to your dog’s nutrition and then start to make easy homemade dog food yourself. Believe me, your dog will give you a big ‘ole loving lick for your efforts (hopefully not right after they eat).
